The Ark Of The Covenant is perhaps one of the most famous relics of all time and is also reputedly one of the most dangerous - it embodies both the absolute holiness of God but also contains within it His great wrath as it is said that the Ark has the power to cause apocalyptic damage to those that seek it (presumably it harms those that are unworthy but even the devout feared the Ark's power to some extent and few, if any, ever gazed upon it).
The Ark Of The Covenant has been sought out innumerable times in both the real world and in many fictional stories (amongst them Indiana Jones) - however to this day none have been able to find the Ark Of The Covenant and its supposed awe-inspiring powers are still a popular topic in many stories.
